Obsessed. It is the best work out I have had in months. I am a pretty religious Zumba/Runner/Elliptical follower and like going to the gym. I hate lifting weights, so this is great for someone like me. I get so sore and my legs are like jello for hours after. I like the word sinewy. That is what I hope to be soon.

I bought a scale. The first one I had in months. I needed to do something because I have gained some love weight and needed to watch myself. The bf must think I am nuts. I said I wanted gastric bypass last night. I just got the wtf look. I know I don't need it - it is just the idea of not wanting to eat everything in sight. Anyway, I bought the scale and I have lost 5lbs. I am now addicted to the scale.... It is keeping everything in check - too much so.

Kind of in love with these boots, but it seems like a lot of work to put them on. I am up for any boot that can keep my feet warm, be a little outdoorsy and cute at the same time.
I did get pretty lucky this year and was able to score some Jimmy Choo motorcycle boots lined with rabbit fur, but have a hard time wearing them out of the house. I love them, but they can only be worn when the weather is a little cold and there is no rain/snow/sleet in sight.

Last year ...

I had just moved into my new apt and was blah about it. I am now packing to move again into a new place. This is a good change (a little overwhelming). I just want it over at this point and don't want to deal with the packing/unpacking. I need a moving genie.

I was down and out on the whole dating thing and miraculously after declaring I was done with the dating deal, I met someone very special. It does happen when you aren't looking.

Good news for this year.

Lots of engagements over the holidays. I love weddings. Getting dressed up, open bar and dancing with friends is like a prom for adults! I was asked to be MOH in my friend's wedding. I am beyond excited. The wedding is Mexico and I have never been (which will parlay into a vacation). I am also headed out to Cali in a month to for the wedding dress shopping and feel like it is such a honor to have the opportunity to share this moment with someone.

I think overall 2011 had a lot of good and bad moments, but overall it ended well. I am hoping for more happy & positive things for 2012.

I remember hating Ann Taylor years ago. It was expensive and full of bad boxy suits that turned every young working gal in Boston into some old matronly lady. Every girl had that rough woolish cotton polyester suit. I hated it even though I owned one...
Now, maybe cause I am older, I am kind of in love with the store. I bought 6 dresses during the summer and wore them constantly (and got tons of positive feedback). I am loving the fall stuff too... and not just because Demi is the new spokes model... The new buyer is fantastic!

I work out almost everyday, but I tend to like candy, wine, margaritas and going out for drinks with a side of french fries. In my 20's this was a no problemo, but not anymore. Everything adds up... So here are my tricks.
1) I eat Lean Cuisine almost everyday for lunch and dinner (if I don't go out).
2) I also eat a lot of Cheerios or Smart Start with fruit (buy a bag of frozen blueberries/raspberries and warm them up in the microwave. Not only is it cheaper... it lasts so much longer).
3) Craving salt? Make popcorn. Not microwave. Go to your local Walmart/Target and look in the way back and get yourself an air popper from the 80s. Buy your own kernels and use organic butter/sea salt (if you need it). Additionally, I am obsessed with those new pretzel crisps and hummus. It is so addicting.
4) Margaritas are now Skinny Girl (yes, that one by Bethanny Frankel). They are actually really good. I tend to throw mine in a blender... Secret? Take those frozen raspberries for your cereal and throw them in the blender and TA-DA. Raspberry Margs....
5) Wine... Just drink it. Don't know how to make that better!
6) Hard boiled eggs and Yoplait Whips in Key Lime and Orange Creme are your friends. The eggs fill if you are starving and need a quick fix and the whips are like a desert.
7) I try and work out for at least 30 mins everyday. Some days more serious than others. It all works out in the wash.
8) Fortunately, I am not a huge chocolate fan, but I love sugar: Sour Patch, Gummies, Sweetarts, Sprees... I can eat my weight in candy. Get lifesavers or tic tacs (in orange) instead. Way less sugar than downing a large bag of Swedish Fish.
9) Small original Pinkberry with raspberries has saved me every time I want Cold Stone.
10) Skim milk always.
11) Spray butter: I Can't Believe Its Not Butter. For your english muffin/toast cravings.

I have plenty more... but if you know of something that works and would help me or others - please share!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer. Mine, so far, has been excellent. I have been kind of busy, so I haven't been writing a ton.

A few weeks ago I went to NYC for he night. It was pretty last minute and fun. I got a great deal on a hotel room at Smythe in Tribecca off of Gilt. I drove into the city and spent a day lunching, shopping and having qt with a friend. We also got to dress up (bought this cute dress from Tibi) and go to Beauty & Essex for dinner & drinks. It was a short trip, but it was indeed sweet.

I have been spending a lot of time at my building pool and gyming it. I have been working on my motivation level, but I think I finally have got back the wanting to work out more desire. I used to enjoy it, but it kind off fell by the wayside when I got sidetracked with the new pup and new people in my life. I think I am back on the plan though.

Am I the only one that watched Charlies Angels (1 and 2) over and over again. He was in the 2nd one, Full Throttle, and was Drew Barrymore's ex boyfriend in the movie... Don't know if it was the Irish accent or the tats or both, but I found him pretty hot.

So, since I am inquisitive, I looked him up and IMDB to see what else he has been in and saw him in pics with Laura Dern. Apparently, they did a movie together called Inland Empire. Last night while watching Bravo, I saw a snippet of the preview for the new Rocco Dispirito show and I am kind of excited. I think he is adorable and have liked him since he did that first show, I think it was called 'The Restaurant'. He came off as a complete DB on the first show, but it didn't take away from his hotness.

I think this will be an entertaining concept and interesting to watch... Thoughts?

I am so seriously in ick with someone right now and I am trying to not let it get to me. They are just beyond annoying and it isn't cute. I am trying to determine if I am pmsy, but I think a lot of frustration is building. I need to get away on a little tropical vacation with nothing but mags and pool/beach time. Doing nothing. With just me (ok maybe some friends too), but I almost just want to go away alone and do what I want to do and think what I want to think. Pool time and room service. Has anyone ever done that before? Would that make me to much of a recluse?

Today is rainy & cold. Summer is taking its sweet time to get here...
Last night I went to the Sox game which was rained out. Lucky for us, we had a box w/ food and drinks, so we were able to at least enjoy an hour of it shoving all the food and drinks your body could handle in a short period of time. It was like being 6 again and sent to the state fair with a $50 and no parental discretion.
I need to get some new Sox watching & beer drinking duds for this season. I had boat load of Trot Nixon shirts, but since he has been gone gone gone, for awhile, I have retired those to bed only.

I started it off with these Navy Chuck Taylors. This is a baseball going wearing staple. You can't really wear flips to the game until it is July and even then it is a bad idea... Drunk people and bare toes = bad idea in my opinion.

Victoria's Secret has some really cute MLB apparel, but I am not a big fan of having the word pink scrawled out around my back side. I will save that for the JR High girls.

Comfy sweats for home wearing (and weather appropriate now, unfortunately)

I read somewhere recently that Adele's ex-boyfriend was suing her (or going to) because he was the inspiration (read: bad ex, gives you a lot to talk about, ask Taylor Swift) for her album "19".
It made me recall something funny/odd (to me) from many years ago, I was about 19ish. I was dating this senior guy from MIT while I was a freshman at Fisher. We were together for about six months at the time, so after his graduation we decided to move up to his home state of NH, so that we could both work for the summer and save money. Well, one thing lead to another and after our second summer up there we broke up because I met another a guy who was a guest at the hotel I was working at.
It was love at first sight. He spent the weekend up there with his friends for bike weekend and then after a few weeks he came up again and I moved back to Massachusetts with him. That fast (I ended up being with him for years). It was so crazy, but fun. It obviously was very hurtful to the other guy, but things were quite volatile with us anyway and we were so young --it wasn't going anywhere.
Anyway, after a few weeks of the ex calling me and saying how horrible I was, he gave up and let his mother take over. Yes, his mother. In fact, his mother called the new man's mother (guy was 27ish) and demanded that the ex be refunded for every date, trip, dinner, coffee, Rite-Aid visit - you name it - because the relationship didn't work out and that new guy owed it to old guy. He wanted to be refunded for the bad relationship.Can you imagine asking to be reimbursed? I could see if I lived with him and didn't pay a bill or took a loan, but neither of those things were issues.

NYC in a Day... What to do?

Oh no. I am going to be 35 in 10 days. How did this happen? Instead of writing a post about where I should be in my life at this stage, I am going to keep on a positive note (although, I can't promise it isn't coming). So anyway, a few friends and I are going to road trip it NYC for the day for a little Soho action. A few people asked what I wanted to do and I said something like Sunday Funday, but I don't want to be here (Boston) because I am bored of it and want to keep it very low-key.... All I really want is a prickly pear frozen margarita (sss), spicy guac and ceviche from Dos Caminos. So, that is what we are going to do. We hired a car service that is going to bring us back and forth so we can just kind of let the day take us from place to place (or store to bar). My NYC'ers any suggestions on places to go??
We don't need to stay in Soho... I was also thinking Biergarten as well. Looking for roofdecks etc... Let me know!

Turning Tables

Some of you may have caught Gwyn covering Adele last night on Glee. I think she did a pretty decent job and I know a lot of people have been naysayers about her burgeoning music career. I kind of just love it. She has a happy voice. I even thought so a million years ago when she sang "Crusin" with Huey Lewis (I actually think it is on my Ipod still).

Anyway, I love Adele and this is actually one of my favorite songs by her.
It has a lot of meaning personally to me. Especially lately... I have been fighting over and over with an ex and we have finally had our last fight. It is hard to remain just friends with someone that you shared so much with. After months of heartache, desperation and sadness, we have finally just moved on from each other. I feel pretty ok about it now. I just can't hold on to bad/mad feelings, because it doesn't do anything for a positive future. I may need to read "It is BreakUp Cause it is Broken" again... ha, but I think I finally get it. This is carrying over in other ways. I have started to bucket my other relationships into real friends and just friends. There is a huge difference between the two and it is sad, but as I get older, I become less tolerant of what I want in my life or how much effort I can place in these friendships. It isn't like I want to break friendships up, but it is true to say as you get older, you can count your real friends on one hand....

Anyway, I was dreaming of Tracy Anderson last night. She was my personal trainer and kept on telling me that I would have arms like Kelly Ripa and legs like Gwen P. Apparently, I fell asleep watching Khloe & Lamar last night so her infomercial @ 4am invaded my dreams. I woke up to it and then proceeded to watch it for the next 30 mins. Then this morning, randomly enough, I check my gmail and there is an email about her in DailyCandy. I cannot get away from this lady! It must be a sign... anyway, I looked it up the "Metamorphosis Series" and I have to say I am intrigued with it and want to try it. I may need to buy a DVD player... Has anyone tried it? Thoughts?

One of my little idiosyncrasies is when it is my horoscope month, I have to read all of them in all my fav magazines (this month, like Septemeber, I tend to over buy all mags). Closet Ideas

As some of my readers/friends may know, I moved a few months ago and (no, I am not moving again), but I got a spacious closet in the deal. Love it, but somehow I am overfilled already. I am starting to switch my seasonal items out: wool pants, heavy sweaters and jeans that don't fit anymore (whaaaa... I can't believe I had a 25 inch waist at one point). I need organizational inspiration. Also, I realized that I tend to wear things year round. I can't pack up my favorite sweaters cause I know I will wear them in the office still. Does this happen to everyone or do you really swap out winter and summer clothes? Ideas welcomed...

One my favorite little stores in Beacon Hill is the Beauty Mark. I have been going here for years and even one year had my birthday party here. It is a teeny little space, but if you are kind of a product junkie like I am it can be such fun treat/splurge. I ended up with a few things, but my two favorites are:

Toyko Milk - Marine parfume. It just smells so summery (even if Summer is taking forever to get here).

Blinc (Kiss Me) Tube Mascara -- This is great if you wear contacts or just have watery eyes. No running or smearing after an hour (even if you are a crier).

I am kind of obseessed with the seventy's style thing being in fashion. Years ago, I bought a pair of flaired out Seven jeans and I never wore them cause they seemed so bell bottomy and long. Additionally, a few years ago at a vintage store in Miami, I bought the perfect lace up, open toe, brown leather, platform shoes by Celine shoes for $100 which were only worn once (not by me because I have yet to wear them). I am looking forward to pairing these things together. All I need is a floppy hat like this. I am loving this look for the beach/island time this summer.

Last Friday, after work, I went and got a mani & pedi. I got this green color on my toes. It is called Icognito and it is from the Essie Winter 2010, but somehow I missed it until now. Anyway, I thought it was fun spring color and a break from my typical Black or Redish colors I normally wear on my toes. It actually looks really good on too!

Can someone give Heather Morris her own show? I have a serious femal crush on her. She is, in my opion, the break-out star of Glee and so talented and HYSTERICAL. Girl.Can.Dance.

Happy Friday! So nice out in Boston today. I finally got to go to work with no tights on. Heard it was going to be 70 and ripped those bad boys right off. This weekend it is new flips and pedis. Actually, maybe not... it is supposed to get cold.

I have been struggling a lot this week. I have been very emotional. Do you ever just have those days that everything and everyone disappoints you? I feel like I have been manic. Something puts me in a good mood and the next moment I am sour. I just want to feel content, but want so much more in my life that i just can't figure things out right now.

Also, I was watching the OC Housewives last night and needed to stop. These ladies are sad and pathetic. They act like mean girls in high school. The hair is awful (holy extensions)... By the way, I would never buy a skincare product from Gretchen - did you see her skin? HD is not her friend.

Two of my favorite songs right now are Rolling in the Deep and Animal, by Adele and Neon Trees, respectively. I don't know why I just though of it, maybe because I have been listening to both non stop on Pandora. Actually, the Adele station is great on Pandora, if you are looking for something mellow.

I rented Love & Other Drugs or whatever that movie is called with Anne & Jake. I have never been a Jake fan, but for some reason I found him hot in it. The story was good, but i didn't tear up or anything... Anne is def nude a lot. I guess it made sense since they were in bed.

I am obsessed with pop tarts. I haven't had them since I was six, so on a whim I bought them at the grocery store. They are so good, but I need to stop eating them pronto. They are definitely not on the spring diet plan.

Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday... Are you giving up anything for lent?

I caught it on repeat last night and 1) was alarmed at how skinny she looked and 2) realized I could save a lot of money on therapy by watching her go to her therapist. Her mom and my mom, I wonder if they are the same person? I actually have thought this before, last season when she first started going, but last night she hit something very personal to me that I thought I only dealt with. It was pretty emotional for me to see it, but her therapist did give her good advice. I may keep watching to see where it goes...

Last year, one of my best friends said every time she watches it she thinks of me... and I was like, why cause I can be outspoken, commitmentphone, abrasive and a loner??? (I was joking). She said, yea kind of and her family history.... and left it that.

This is not a pity party for me, it is just that moment when she was talking about her mom, I felt that pain too... Hard to explain if people have a healthy or just ok relationship with their parents.

... at the Pat Green concert (which was awesome, by the way). I came out of the bathroom and was walking back to the floor where we were standing and I felt two hands strongly grab both my but cheeks. Grab is the wrong word. They were squeezed. I turned around thinking it may be my friend Lauren, not that I could ever imagine her grabbing someones ass, let alone mine. Unfortunately, it was this young blonde girl, maybe 22ish and she yells "OH MY GOD, YOU AREN'T SUZIE!" Nope. Her boyfriend knew I wasn't Suzie either cause the instant I felt my tush violated, I heard "WTF are you doing????????????" She apologized. I laughed. It was pretty funny and awkward at the same time. I got over it pretty fast.

At the end of the show everyone was dancing and Lauren and I felt we needed more space to show our moves. We moved up to the bar area and were soon joined by two guys. One had a dad jeans and the other had something Euro on. Hard to explain. Anyway, they were trying to spin us around and dirty dance with us, but my guy had the most horrendous breath. It was making me sick so I kept trying to jump in with Lauren and Dad jeans. He was relentless. So I literally put my beer down and was like, I am done and walked out. I wasted a whole beer. It was that bad.

I feel a little blah today, but definitely trying to work my way out of it. I can't focus. It feels like a Friday, but it is a Thursday. Ugh.

I washed my dress instead of dry cleaning it and the lining is hanging lower than the hem of the dress. I am debating taking a pair of scissors in the bathroom and making some alterations. I am realizing it may be a little too short for work now too and I may have went to far with a Thirsty Thursday outfit.. short black (tight: cause I ate too much at lunch) dress, tights and black OTK boots.

Tonight I am going to see Pat Green at HOB. Lil Laur and I bought these tickets months ago and it is finally here. So weird how time passes so fast.

Tomorrow night, I am going to the HOB (again) for a Mardi Gras party to benefit Chrons disease. If you know me, I don't go out on Fridays or even two nights in a row, but this is for a good cause and who doesn't feel a little better throwing on a LBD and heading out for an open bar of Hurricanes and free beads.

I am going to a benefit tomorrow night and wanted to find a dress that was work appropriate and party appropriate so I didn't have to lug everything in the office tomorrow and change in the bathroom.

First, I went to BR. Huge disappointment. Not sure who they are allowing to make their clothes now, but everything is done so poorly. The zippers don't work on anything. I found two dresses that I liked but after trying them on and not sure if I could it back on or off the again, I put them back on the rack. It was annoying. I told the sales lady and she could have gave a flying, well you know. Why ask 'how did everything work' if you don't care?

Nope, not guys... the nice little sparkly ones I had in my ears until vacation. I lost one while away and have prayed for its return. It hasn't happened yet and I just can't afford to replace them. So sad! Called my insurance company explaining they were a gift from X and I was dumb dumb dumb not to get them insured. Obviously, they can't do anything. X wasn't mad at all... he was like oh, well. The other night he made sure to clarify that we weren't doing presents anymore since we aren't really "Valentines" so no hope on replacement pair. I may have to get a good pair of CZ's...

For some reason this reminds me of being little and makes me happy. While everyone is complaining about the weather, I am just dealing with it... Nothing you can do about it, so why let it ruin your mood? With that being said, I did just get back from Puerto Rico where it was a nice 90 degrees everyday and I enjoyed frozen mojitos for lunch every afternoon. The highlight of my week was seeing Enrique Iglesias at my hotel. He is way hotter in person. He may be the most beautiful person I have ever seen.

As I was packing last night, I thought it would make sense to maybe try on some of the bathing suits to see how they looked. BIG MISTAKE. Maybe it was the suit, but I don't think so. It was more me.
My body has changed.
It is weird cause the whole time, I was thinking, wow - when did this happen? I had a moment of clarity when I was taking the T into work. I am not fat. I eat well. I work out. It is just that I am turning 35 and my body has changed. It changed from 18 to 21 (Hello Hips, nice to see you...finally), 25-28 my best years (to only go back), 29-30 (a little too skinny) and 31-34 (not sure what has happened). It is sad, but instead of fretting about it, I just realized it could be so much worse and that I am not going to be the girl who doesn't eat, drink and spends all her free time in the gym. I have been there before and I don't want to do it anymore. Life is short. I am healthy. I am fairly happy. So what if my belly jiggles a little.... I don't have wrinkles or cellulite... yet. I am taking the good with the bad. Bring on the Guac, Margies and my Bikini!

Prepping for vacation and all the self maintenance that goes with it.

I feel so high maintenance between the hair, waxing, nails, gyming and dieting... I don't know how celebs do it! Anyway, I went to Hollywood Nails last night and decided to do the Shellac manicure since it will last for two weeks and I wont need to get a touch up while away. I wish they did it for pedis too... Hopefully, soon.

Jake and Taylor broke up. Finally. I found it a bit weird anyway. What would a 30ish year old man have in common with a 21year old?
Holly from Girls Next Door is super upset about Heff getting married to the other blonde ~~lady~~ girl that looks JUST.LIKE.HER. Holly is so upset she can't comment, but she can get her cameras ready to tape her encounter with Heff for her own show.
Kardashian's are everywhere again. Lets see. Scott is a bad baby daddy. Kourtney has been too stressed out and is loosing weight and ready to break. Kim has gained/lost/gained/lost, but is not prego with Kayne's baby. Thank God for that. Khloe died her hair red (I like it) and her and Lamar got their own show. I am not sure I can watch it, however, I will. Her baby voice drives me insane.
Housewives of BH...The Best Season Ever of HW's. Love all of them. They secretly hate Camille - D'oh. Oh, and she wont be back on next season. That is ok she is going to be super rich and busy being a single mom. Maybe they can replace Camille with the crazy ass Alison DuBouis? That was TRUE entertainment. I really watch it for Jiggy.

Silver Lining

So many people complain about everything. Some days, I am one of them. I am trying to correct this each day (Not really a New Years resolution, more of a perspective change). When I get pissed or annoyed, I try and find my silver lining. Complaining doesn't change anything. Trying to find a new way to look at things does.
I complained for years about my old apt. I loved it, but when things started to go wrong it dragged me down. I moved. I didn't want to be outside of the city, but this was my best option and I.LOVE.IT. I will try and post pics up soon. Everything is so brand new. My bathtub is the size of a swimming pool (Oh, and I have one of those too). It is cozy. My friends come over to just watch tv and make dinner. It is awesome. I thought it would be a drag not living in Boston proper, but it has really made me happier. The one thing that annoys me is the commute. I was a walker... and now I am T'er and a Driver. When I started complaining, about my T commute, I thought wow, this is a chance to have 15 mins to read in to work and 15 mins to read out of work. It is time for just me. So, I guess, my thing is now... if you can't deal with something, there is no reason to sit by and be miserable. Change it or try to think of it differently.

I just realized my winter vacation is coming up in about 2 weeks. I am pale and cold, so this is a good time to get some nice hot sun. So, my two week countdown starts now. I need to watch the food/drinks I eat/drink and hit the gym so I can put a bathing suit on and not be laughed off the beach . The funny thing is, I will diet and work out before my vacation, only to partake in too many bevs and plantains while I am away and gain all my weight back day one of my vacation. Does this only happen to me?

I have moved and now I am sitting in my new pad, watching the Bachelor. Ugh - yes, I am getting into this damn show again. I think this Brad Womack guy is hot. I am addicted to a show on TLC. The Police Woman of Dallas. It is freaking hysterical.... I have been watching some marathon on TV and haven't been able to walk away... yet. I have a secret (not so secret) love of police officers. I think I was one in my past life (or dated one too many).

I randomly went to Usher with two of best girls and these were the action shots of the night. We were laughing at making a certain pose (me sticking my middle finger up) and couldn't be serious enough to make it work. BTW, Usher was an experience. I didn't realize people still simulated sex in concert since Marky Mark and the Funky Bench (yes, I went when I was 16). Furthermore, I am way too old to see that stuff! Sadly, I need to leave it to the 15 year olds in the short dresses, ahem shirts, and stripper heals.

I have been lost in a whirlwind of activity and kind of dealing with the depression of the holiday season. I am so not a holiday person, but I will refrain from being negative and drone on about why. The only thing I love about the holidays is being social and seeing people you normally don't get to see a lot.

Got a Library Card... Good investment. I went to buy the Nook and realized $250 was better spent at Jcrew. On my way home, I walked by the library and I went in and signed up. I am reading all of Jennifer Wieners' books now. I have the DVD for the September Issue on hold and will be picking that up soon. Book suggestions welcome!

Went to Girls Only Holiday Party with some of my best ladies... Instead of the normal swap gift, we did Swag Bags. Everyone brought 7 of their favorite items (mine was Essie: Smoking Hot nail polish) and put them in a bag. After 9 or so wines we opened gifts. so.much.fun...

I finally made a decision about moving and I am going to do it. I gave my landlord my notice and I am moving out December 31st. The place I am moving into is AMAZING, but it is 10 mins out of the city. I am looking forward to drinking champagne and unpacking. Really, this is the way to start a New Year!

Is it me or do you want to take a week off and see all the movies that are coming out? There are so many to see. Black Swan, The Fighter and Country Strong... I even want to see that Reese Witherspoon movie!

I haven't started any Christmas shopping and I don't even care!

My friend and I are going to play hooky from work next week to have a liquid lunch on a Tuesday afternoon as our present to each other. Seriously! She is my best friend since we were 6 and she is a grown up. Kids, Husband and House, so we don't get enough of QT together.

When I get disappointed or frustrated I make quick changes. They are quick, but not little ones. For instance, when I am mad and need to occupy my brain, I try and move apartments. I don't know why? Don't most people just cut their hair? I love my apt, but I kind of have an absentee landlord. Winter is coming up and my heating issue hasn't been fixed and I pay all my utilities and my rent is not cheap. I think moving will be thrifty, plus it will make me busy. Very busy.... See, I am beyond frustrated with someone in my life and since he isn't around for me to discuss with (or we can discuss and nothing changes), I feel like it is a good time to move. Seriously, this has to be a therapists dream. I did find a little apt in Brookline last night and the rent is so much cheaper than mine, it is super cute (but smaller than mine), they will take Ruby and all the utilities are included.... but I will have to commute on the T each day (I walk to work now). I kind of want it, but I wonder if I really want it.... because I like starting over and over and over... It is like purging of all the bad things, throwing stuff out and moving on.

It isn't the first time I have done this either...

Bill Rancic May Be The Most Ideal Husband Ever....

A long time ago, Season 1, I commented about how I thought the Giuliana & Bill show was a bore... but I have changed my mind and am now loving it. I was never a big G fan, but this show has made me grow to really love her and love the relationship she has with her hubs Bill. He is such a guys guy, but so supportive of everything she goes through. I find the show incredibley emotional now and it makes me realize what I want in a life partner. They totally get and support each other and when he tears up, it is truly makes me love him more. He is what I want. Succesfull, brilliant, hot and emphatetic. He gets it. Most guys, I find, don't. So, until then, I am waiting to find my Bill.

If you were a child of the 80's, you may recall bow barrettes. I used to love my black and purple one. A few months ago I came across the website after seeing Ali, from the Bachelor, on one of those "tell all" episodes wearing a gorgeous headband. I became obsessed on finding it, which I did at ban.do. I still look at this site all the time because the stuff is so darn cute and fun. Diet Change

I have been seeing a personal trainer for a few weeks trying to get some motivation to lift weights. We talk a lot about food and what I eat, and surprisingly enough I don't eat enough at the right times AND I drink a lot of Diet Coke. I have been thinking about it a lot and then saw that one of my favorite bloggers, Love Meghan, posted on FB about the harms of DC. Also, I was in the elevator at work the other day and a man that I work with, but don't know, grabbed my can from my hand and was like this is so bad for you. Terrible. It got me thinking and tonight I told my trainer that I just always feel bad, tired, bad headaches, aches and pains and she was like take the DC and all sweeteners out of your diet. Just stop. Yikes. I am willing to try it though to see if I notice a change. I drink so many a day, I don't know what to drink in place. Water, yes, but it seems so boring. What do you guys drink? Are you soda addict? If not, any ideas on making me a bigger water drinker?

Seriously, despite the gross, rainy and cold weather this week flew right by. I went to Rock of Ages on Weds, which was a good mid-week break and overall riot. I loved it, but I love all things 80. I really wanted to get dressed up for it, but the weather was awful and I couldn't manage to lug anything but myself and my umbrella to work that day. I am going back to see Wicked tonight, which everyone is like WHAT?, but I if I love a show I will see it twice (currently, trying to get more tix for ROA).
Last Sunday, I had my Launch Party for Stella & Dot. Unfortunately, I had a few no shows, but it was still nice to everyone who was able to make it. I was in usual Sunday fashion -- a tad tired from my antics of Saturday night.... The BC/Notre Dame game which started promptly at 4:30pm and ended at 2am with dancing at a bar that there is no dancing at, really. Anyway, fun!
So back to my show and my self promotion... I am loving the Stella & Dot experience so far. I am really looking to book some trunk shows, so if you are a local gal and want to have a little girls night out at your apt/house/work, I am game. Each week now, I am going to share one fav pieces/topics and give you some tips on how/why you may like it too.

Tonight Big Head Todd is playing at the House of Blues and I am going... Embarrassingly, I have seen them 50+ time, ok, maybe 60+... I can't help it, I love them and I am still very excited to see them. They just make me feel happy and bring back so many good memories.
Oh and the people watching is outstanding!

Choose Your Words Carefully

Do you sometimes speak without thinking? I am guilty. Sometimes I don't mean what I say to seem so harsh, because ultimately I don't like to hurt other peoples feelings. However, I am blunt and I have no poker face (sorry, do you have the Lady G in your head now?). If I am sad/annoyed/happy, you will know. I can't hide my emotions.

Anyway, I don't understand when others say things that are so beyond rude (even if they think it...they can't keep it to themselves) and in order to not have a confrontation about something I will just keep my mouth shut (sometimes). To be honest, I don't think the person who said it meant to be rude, she just doesn't think about what she says sometimes and likes to offer her opinions without realizing how it may be perceived by her audience or her friends.

So, ladies/gents, what do you think? Do you have people in your life who cut you down without maybe realizing they are? The best way to handle?

The worst part of the whole comment is that I have been internalizing it ever since. I guess if she wanted to feed off of small insecurity she did it and my best way to handle it would be to prove her wrong and not say anything about it.

I went to Zumba in the Boston Common on Saturday. It was so much fun... tons of people showed up and it ended up being a great way to start the day. It was so hot and muggy out, I think I dehydrated myself and was exhausted after... Later in the evening, I went to Tavern on the Water with some friends to drink some margs (to hydrate) which made for a very uneventful Sunday. I think my head still hurts from the drinks. Seriously, I have had a headache for the last two days... Not sure what is going on. It could be because my dog ate my glasses and I have had to wear contacts non-stop, which sucks. All I can find is the earpiece and one of the lenses. Where did the rest go? I am sure to find out... maybe.

Tonight is Glee, the Brit Brit episode. I am going to miss it and have to catch it on DVR since I am finally going to see The Town tonight. So excited. Love seeing movies filmed here whether they are good or bad. Has anyone seen it? Thoughts?

New Hair

Kind of messy here, but you get the gist. It has become a joke among my friends how fast my hair grows because I don't like my hair long. I don't feel like me when I have long hair... I think it looks awesome on everyone else, but for me - I feel gross and disheveled.

My bloggies... I have missed you, but you aren't far from my everyday thoughts. I have been just busy doing all sorts of things....
Went to see Wicked. It is amazing....
Glee is back on and oh, Gossip Girl....Thank God DVR is working!
Chopped my hair off...fall bobs!
Work is busy.

Most importantly, I started to work as stylist for Stella & Dot. Do you all recall the ivory necklace below??? I am very excited for this since it gives me something very creative to put my head into. Hope you all are ready to get some amazing jewelry. By the way, to my New England girls, I will travel to host a party! ME, YOU, YOUR AMAZING FRIENDS, WINE and some amazing jewls... We are going to meet soon!

Jimmy Fallon, I thought, was amazing. I have a super crush on him... and last night made me like him so much more.
Here are my favorite looks from last night. Surprisingly, all my favs were basically the Glee kids. BTW, what diet did Lea Michele ("Rachel") do? She is so very tiny now.

Lara Spencer kind of brought the Grace Kelly thing... which I love.

These dresses are so similiar, but I really do like them both.

Steph Pratt forgot her pants. This dress seemed more appropriate for a club and not a red carpet awards show. She does have amazing legs though, so I guess, if I had pegs like that maybe I would keep my pants off too.
